What is your role at The Wholesale Group?
I have been a Wholesale Development Manager at The Wholesale Group for the past 14 years, focusing on driving growth and strengthening relationships within the wholesale sector.
What did you do before joining The Wholesale Group?
My career began in sales and marketing in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. After moving to the UK in 2004, I held roles at Nestlé, Karelia Tobacco, and Molson Coors, further developing my expertise in sales and business development.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and exploring different cultures.
If you were able to retire tomorrow, how would you spend your time?
I would spend most of my time in Sri Lanka, reconnecting with family and friends while enjoying the country’s natural beauty and relaxed lifestyle.
Who inspires you?
Lord Sugar — his journey from humble beginnings to business success is truly inspiring.
What type of business would you go into if it wasn’t wholesale?
I would pursue a career in real estate. The demand for property is constant, making it an exciting and dynamic industry.
What is the most interesting place you have visited and why?
The Maldives—it has stunning blue waters, and the people are incredibly friendly. I admire their relaxed way of life and the beauty of the islands.
