What is your role at The Wholesale Group?
I am a Finance Executive overseeing Central Payments. I manage quarterly supplier sales data, resolve discrepancies, and process promotional retro claims each period.
What did you do before joining The Wholesale Group?
Before joining The Wholesale Group, I worked as a finance professional for over three years. I was part of the Cash Office team at Primark, and prior to that, I held a managerial role in a finance department in my home country.
What do you do when you’re not working?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching documentaries.
If you were able to retire tomorrow, how would you spend your time?
If I could retire tomorrow, I would spend more time with my family and work through my bucket list of places to visit and experiences to enjoy. I would also like to stay active and engage in meaningful activities, as I enjoy keeping myself busy.
Who inspires you?
I’m inspired by my father. Despite coming from a humble background, he raised three children with dignity and hard work, instilling strong values that continue to motivate me.
What type of business would you go into if it wasn’t wholesale?
I have a strong interest in finance, so I would likely pursue a career in that field. If I were to start my own business, I would focus on a social enterprise supporting handicraft arts by underprivileged women in Bangladesh, a country rich in traditional crafts. This would allow me to earn a living while making a positive impact on society.
What is the most interesting place you have visited and why?
The most interesting place I have visited is Thailand. I was captivated by its culture, friendly people, delicious food, and breathtaking scenery. I also really enjoyed Rangamati, a hilly area in Bangladesh, where the natural beauty was truly extraordinary.
What do you like about working at The Wholesale Group?
The people — it feels like a family. I also appreciate the freedom in my work, the excellent teamwork, and the support of the management.
