What is your role at The Wholesale Group?
My role at The Wholesale Group is in Retail Buying Team looking after the Tea, Coffee, and Biscuits category. I also look after Service Suppliers.
What did you do before joining The Wholesale Group?
My life at The Wholesale Group started at Confex 6 years ago as Promotions Co-ordinator before moving over to the Foodservice Team. Before Confex, I worked in Insurance for over 11 years in various roles and places.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I love a party, so I spend a lot of time creating a theme and making things out of rubbish. I also enjoy growing my own veg, spending time with my family and the ‘occasional’ trip to the pub!
If you were able to retire tomorrow, how would you spend your time?
Nothing overly exciting, I would move to the coast, grow my own veg and have a spotlessly clean house!
Who inspires you?
My Children. I love their determination to get what they want, their ability to find the funny in anything, and their positive sunny outlook on life no matter what. They are my absolute world, and they inspire me to be the best person I can be even when I don’t feel like it.
What type of business would you go into if it wasn’t wholesale?
If money were no object I would be a party planner!
What is the most interesting place you have visited and why?
I think for me; it would be Southern Ireland. It is such a beautiful part of world, and they have a completely different way of life over there, plus the Pubs and live music are incredible!
What do you like about working at The Wholesale Group?
I love the family atmosphere and that no two days are the same.
