Toby Jordan

Marketing Director

What is your role at The Wholesale Group?
I look after the corporate, own brand and member marketing.
What did you do before joining The Wholesale Group?
I came over from Fairway Foodservice where I devised the strategy, branding and delivery of corporate, own brand and member marketing services.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I have a wide range of interests and hobbies. I keep up with the latest in AI, marketing, and technology. Beyond that, I have a passion for travel, filmmaking, and video editing. Music is another creative outlet — I enjoy playing the guitar, even if not always flawlessly i.e. absolutely terribly!
If you were able to retire tomorrow, how would you spend your time?
Travel and filming the adventure.
Who inspires you?
That’s an easy one for me — Elon Musk. It’s incredible how one person can disrupt at least six industries. I have no idea how he finds the time! Other figures who fascinate me include Napoleon, Lord Nelson, and Churchill—I read a lot about them.
What type of business would you go into if it wasn’t wholesale?
A disruptive business that serves the greater good such as green energy.
What is the most interesting place you have visited and why?
St. Petersburg, Russia. Aside from it being a beautiful city, I have a keen interest in history so seeing the legacy of Peter the Great and learning more of the Siege of Leningrad was a fascinating experience. It also challenged some of the Cold War-era stereotypes I’d grown up with.
What do you like about working at The Wholesale Group?
Three things that really stand out to me are the supportive team, the strong drive for innovation, and the trust given to me to get on with my work.
